Santa Claus

Our little Miss Cay is a social girl.  She likes to meet new people and will usually give them her biggest cutest grin when they say hello.  Santa Claus was no exception.  Just look for yourselves!

Here I come!

I'm six months old 

And ready to roll!

No one can stop me

I'm out of control!

Olivia learns to eat!

Yeah We've been working with Olivia for months to teach her to suck and swallow. Thursday at 4:45pm we had success!  We, Olivia and her mother, sat down at the table with some rice cereal mixed with pears to try one more time. And we didn't stop until 5:05 when it was all gone. Since then she eats about half a serving at least once a day. It is a wonderful thing and an amazing step for Olivia. 

She will still require the feeding tube until she learns to drink, (wether from a bottle or sippy cup or even a regular glass) and she eats all her food by mouth and is gaining weight. But it feels like we can see a little past the bend in the road. 

Yeah carrots!  Not my first meal but close!

I'm trying to blog!

Almost six months ago when our sweet Olivia was born, the worldk took note! at least our small part of it. For the next several weeks we kept everyone updated about the process and the progress, then that wonderful day arrived and Olivia came home!! Since then our lives have continued on in a day to day fashion that doesn't seem very interesting. However, there does seem to be an interest, so I will strive to maintain a blog.
